Tolarian Winds: The Real Cost Of Double Masters And Premium Priced Magic: The Gathering Sets

This is a test

Every booster product that broke the record for "most expensive booster" has been a test. This isn't the first nor will it be the last. The number of whales who don't care about the price, the number of addicted players who can't bring themselves to care about the price, and the number of new players those first two bring in who are ignorant about the history of it all are great enough that WotC won't see any significant loss of buyers or profit, and thus they will keep pushing the envelope on how much they can charge until they eventually do find that limit, at which point they'll give the community one Master-easque set that's actually somewhat generous, take half a step back from the cieling they found, and stay there are long as possible. They aren't interesting in building the largest, strongest, most accessible community of players, the people in charge of pricing are interested in squeezing the most money out of the playerbase, period. And enough of the players respond with "squeeze me harder, daddy" that reddit has no chance of changing this trend.
