Told a doctor that I vape. He warned about mold & recommended edibles.

I work the in the industry, and quite honestly mold, pesticides, and latent nutrients are a concern for a LOT of dispensaries. A VERY large amount of them go off of eye and taste tests, with few places getting the meds tested...and even fewer getting pesticide and nutrient testing. (I personally inspect cannabis with a 60x magnified LED & blacklight lit scope).

Even a lot of name brand cannabis is guilty of using PGRs (plant growth regulators), which contain carcinogens, to increase yields. There is a huge debate on whether flushing PGRs is enough or whether they should be banned. There are organic growers, veganic growers, and even "beyond organic" growers, who not only grow organically but make sure they benefit the environment with their growing instead of hurting it.

Edibles are safer, but don't be fooled... they do not pass FDA testing like other food products. Their starting product could be just as bad. Name brand edibles are safer.

I hate touting name brands, because a lot of times you're just paying for the name, but brands need to protect themselves so they are a better bet safety wise.

I look forward to regulation because safety will go up, but in CA AB266 and AUMA might kill the boutique grower side of MMJ, which I mainly stick to. Commercialization will bring the general quality down, but the meds will be safer.

Colorado is a good example. A ton of places have very mediocre product, with only one place being the absolute best place without question (Kind Love). I fear CA might turn into that.
