I was told the hardest part of fostering was letting them go, but that’s not true. The hardest part is having a dog no one is interested in

My younger dog was like that, she came in with her two siblings but she was much more timid and much smaller and more timid than her siblings. When applications opened (I work in the rescue) other siblings got 30+ applications each and she didn’t get a single one, when they adopted out the others people kept saying “oh well I’ll take the one that’s left” and my rescue declined them all. The first photo I saw of her I fell in love though and put her on internal hold instantly until I could go in and meet her! ❤️

It’s hard but eventually he will find his family and it will be the best feeling! (My first dog also didn’t have interest before I adopted him, the first person who was interested never had a dog before and he has reactivity issues so they didn’t get him, I bonded too strongly and adopted him after 2.5 months!)
