Told I’m overconfident at work, what should I do?

This could very well not be true, I don’t know you, but I used to have a coworker I sat next to who got a similar talk.

She would talk about stuff with such confidence but was almost always wrong. It usually went like “this person at work is doing x wrong because of y”. One time she tried telling a large group of us that leaving a small balance on your credit card at the end of each month was better for your credit. It got pretty exhausting.

Her work was always done well enough so our boss didn’t really do too much about it. After a while it got pretty bad and people just stopped debating anything she said and turned to “oh really”, “oh gotcha that makes sense”, etc. She lost a lot of credibility.

I’m not assuming you’re this person. I just didn’t see this kind of thing brought up yet. These people do exist and no one wants to be the person to let them know.
