Was told by my mum yesterday to delete all the apps off my phone, turn it off, wrap it in 7 layers of tinfoil, place it in the middle of the property, and leave it there till Wednesday.

Millennials don't really use Facebook anymore. Gen X and Boomers are the main userbase now.

Actually speaking/interacting/managing boomers in the world is what has led me to believe that a lot of them have got lead poisoning, however. Half of them drive like maniacs and have forgotten how to exist peacefully in society. I had a man in his 60s stamp his feet and scream at me, like spittle flying and frothing at the mount kinda screaming, at work last night - another customer walked into the shop and collected their food immediately, and he was upset, because "I was here first!". Explaining that they ordered online 20 minutes before he came into the shop to order in person was lost on him. Not sure how it was my fault that he chose to stand and wait in the premises for 30 minutes during the dinner rush.

I can't think of a time when anyone under the age of 40 has been unacceptably rude and aggressive towards me. People in their 30s and 40s can quite often be passive aggressive and a bit snobbish, but polite nonetheless. The youngest ones are always polite. I do quite regularly get verbally abused by people over 50 for inconsequential things. And by quite regularly I mean, at least once a shift.

One of my colleagues, a man in his late 60s, got our work WhatsApp group chat shut down because we were chatting too much in it at Christmas - wishing each other Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Apparently it should be for managers to talk to us, not for the staff to create amicable relationships with each other. He complains now, however, that doesn't get to see the week's rota until he's actually at work. Sad.
