I told my parents our wishes for the birth of our twins and my dad made a scene.

Since when does the Dr go out to the waiting room and tell the family the birth went well? That's from movies and major non birth surguries, here in the real world the SO goes to tell anyone in the waiting room how it went.

I was waiting to get an NST a couple months ago & witnessed 2 grandmothers waiting to hear about the birth if the grandchild, one was clearly a JNMIL in the wild, she chastised the dad for not coming out the second the baby was born he tried saying that his wife wanted to get cleaned up, baby cleaned up, and bond for a few minutes before sending dad out of the room but JN was having none if it as she continued to scold him on how awful the wait was & how they were talking too long. Seeing that solidified my desire for people to only come visit when given the go ahead, thankfully they all respected our wishes.
