No her point was that African American actors we’re not being nominated. 2 years in a row 20 nominees were all white. Winning oscars is one thing but being nominated is another. The original comment I responded to claimed she was blaming white people because she lost, she wasn’t. She was saying there is a lack of diversity. The academy president agreed with her. “It’s natural that certain races will tend towards certain paths, and it’s natural that the bigger population of people will have more people winning oscars...” that is true but the number of black nominees aren’t even matching up with the population numbers.
