I used to work at SCG and wouldn't be surprised if this was true. The company is crap on numerous levels.

Leadership there is either jaded or out of touch. There may be a department or two with someone competent at the helm. That's probably being generous.

The company preys on mostly young-ish people with the dream to make a name in MTG. That's why they get by with paying a sub-living wage. It's either those kids or rural people who think that $12/hr is plenty of money and can't find anything else.

Some of the egos that accompany the faces of the SCG Tour are incredible. It's the epitome of a big fish in a small pond.

I could go on. It's a rotten company living off of previous luck and timing.
