Beware, long testimonial post incoming:

As someone who has always paid (perhaps too much) on Supercell games, I must admit there is a lot of truth in this picture. First of all, I'm 28 years old and have no children (yet), so I often find myself able to buy gems here and there to give myself a boost or shortcut a way to a new brawler, perhaps just get that skin. Others pay for hobbies too, these games are one of mine. But I've been on the other side of that medal when I was 12 years old growing up and barely getting a membership for RuneScape. It must be pretty hard to be a kid nowadays with a lot of games basically running the micro-transaction train and not having the choice like I do or the parents who are willing to give you enough allowance for it.

Never forget: P2Pers should not judge F2Pers for being unable to buy progress, likewise F2Pers should definitely not claim to be superior due to being pure. The fact is that games like BS are primarily made to have people spending on them but would not survive long without an active player base that is primarily F2P. They are grindy to allow for people to do it a lot and the money they generate is the main reason why the games get developed in the first place. If everyone was (able to remain) F2P and the game did not generate any income, it would simply be changed to force people into paying which might very well be its' cause for death too. As long as paying is an option that will not happen.

It is actually nice that both routes can be walked and both should be respected equally as one contributes to the development, one to its' popularity and life span. In the end of the day we all want to enjoy the game & be treated respectfully while doing so. There is no more achievement in obtaining a goal as F2P as there is in contributing to the profit margins of the game, it is equally important because without the other no achievement would have any meaning or merit.
