Tony Abbott defends $11bn cut to foreign aid during Vietnamese PM's visit

I never been to Australia, but what I'm trying to say is that corruption is not evident in every single government official. If that is the case, then Vietnam is a very rich country. With over 4.4 million Vietnamese (party members) having a asset of 1 million usd+. You assume every foreign exchange student in Australia and western nations are from government families, but it honestly isn't. You have students from the business class to poor farmers who sold their land so that their children can have a better future. It is absolutely absurd and quite misinformed to assume every low-level government employee is making bank.

1) Yes, I never been to Australia; however, I've dealt with Australian clients throughout my years. And many of them often come over to our plants in Vietnam for yearly "inspection". What does it consist? 1-2 days of walking through our facilities, and spending the rest of their week at 5 star hotels paid by our company, and they themselves expect to receive 10,000-20,000 AUD per person for their time. This is the norm for the business world, and not limited to just business. For the Australian market, I've seen other Australian company paying custom and inspection agency to provide false results, just so they could fuck with their competitors. The reason you are so perplex by this is because you have never dealt with these kind of situation.

2) Yes, I agree corruption and avoiding paying tax is a shitty thing, everyone does it. However, if you think Australian politicians and ministers are innocent of these, then you are in for a surprise.

3) Yes, all 4.4 million party members here in Vietnam are rolling in cash. We have over 4.4 million Vietnamese that are making more than what you would in Australian and that is not including the business demographic :/ I'm not denying corruption isn't evident in Vietnam, but the scale you are talking about (you are inferring even the lowest government official makes more than 50,000 AUD).
