Too many articles in the media about families not being able to pay their mortgage after these rate rises.

The stories are often relevant to the demographic of the suburb. Australian suburbs have very few options, cost of living is high and the quality is low. Meat pie and a drink to go for a family of 4 can easily hit the $90 without trying. Buying good food is expensive- but yes the frozen food isle with cheap frozen goods from Asia is a good option. Given the fact that we live in a high cost society with 2 income families being the “norm” I see Australia as a country that no longer has a future. Social media always pipe dreams the stay at home family, riding a bike to work and living off $120 a week rent, spending all day cooking, baking and preparing meals. It’s 2022 not 1922.
