We have a lot of winding country roads where the road isn't quite big enough for 2 cars, its got a 10ft hedge either side and the speed limit is still 60MPH. It may as well say "We dare you" underneath. Most car crashes (certainly fatal ones) occur on such roads as people try to actually do 60, either because they took the racing line to get around a corner and hit an oncoming car on the blind bend or because they came off the road on the corner and down the ditch behind the hedge.

I would almost guarantee these knob-jockeys who crash their cars on these road are the kinds of people tailgating me and making the above sentiment because I don't feel comfortable doing more than 45ish on these kinds of roads
