I took off work today because I can’t bear the idea of facing certain people.

When I assume everyone is naturally good and kind hearted friendly people, then it becomes extremely hard to handle people who don’t conform to how you perceive the world

When you assume people are automatically sensitive, have fragile egos, competitive, and insecure, suddenly you notice you can start to predict how people are going to behave before they do

Once you change your outlook on people, you will suddenly start to notice you can start predicting people’s behavior better

I used to assume everyone was smart, until they said something stupid

My friend used to assume everyone was stupid, until they said something smart

And I always hated that part of my friend at first, I assumed why can’t you just give people the benefit of the doubt first?

Now I realized he was way ahead of me in terms of maturity and reading people, and I’ve always wondered why was he so good at talking to people, it’s because he was better at seeing people for what they really are, while I saw them as the way I wished people were
