Tool for deleting old social media posts - seems to work but not open source - any thoughts?

I've used a few different extensions in the past to delete old reddit, twitter and facebook posts and likes - this tool appears to do them all and appears to have done a better job than those I've used before.

https://redact.dev/

Obviously it can't remove what those companies have about me, but it seems to do that job for public facing posts.

Slightly concerned over this :

Is Redact open source?

No, Redact is not open source. We appreciate and respect open source projects, but also realize that our deletion logic, if public, would allow the services we support to more easily update and have Redact stop working more frequently.

The idea that FB, Twitter etc aren't aware of how these things work (or could easily figure it out) is nonsense.

Having said that, it appears to work and I have used it.

Any thoughts?
