Top 10 Essential (not beginners) Games

Completely off topic. Try to move some place else. It would be hard. But

  • The wage increase would make the games far more easy to acquire.
  • Also, shops like Amazon offer in Western Europe and North America the option to send them back at no cost. So as long as you have the money to pay for the game, the box will be in your mailbox in a few days and if you return it at no cost in less than a month you will get a full refund.
  • Shops are easier to find and have gaming evenings where you can test games and be helped by the staff at no cost, or a flat fee.
  • There are gaming associations that have large collections of games and you can join for a small fee and test the games they have.
  • In the case of the last two you will find people that are also interested in games and that will facilitate your access to their private collections. And even trades. Or they might just give away games they don't like that much lately
  • You can find a stronger board game second hand market. Board Game Geek dealers are crap. Very expensive. And they all ask for the postage. Back in Western Europe and North America there are sites like Ebay or Craiglist in which people sell cheap the games that don't fit in their collection. Sometimes you can get very cheap unopened games, doubles received as gifts by the seller.
  • Finally, they are harder to find, but there are businesses that rent games the same way video tapes and DVDs were rented before NetFlix.
