Step 1: check for coincidences.

Step 2: list the coincidences you find.

Step 3: apply the first axiom.

Axiom 1: there are no coincidences.

Step 4: draw the inevitable conclusion that what you listed in step 2 were not coincidences but the clues to a nefarious scheme hidden in plain sight (which as we know is where masterminds always hide things). Warning: never apply axiom 1 to step 1!

Step 5: sit down and contemplate who your enemies are and whom you wish to be on the good side of and interpret the data you have accordingly. If it sounds crazy it just means that you're 100% right and a genius (remember Einstein and how his ideas seemed outlandish at the time; you're just following in his footsteps).

Step 6: pat yourself on the back.

Step 7: present your ideas in a forum of likeminded and remember to use humble words so as to appear modest and reasonable.
