This is just not true. The whole point of containment is so there’s as little spill over into other subs are possible. If they destroy TD we’re going to see a bunch of smaller subs spring up attempting to fill its void.

It happened with 4chan and pol. Moot deleted pol and dozens of 4chan knock of sites sprung up and former pol users started brigading the other boards.

The difference is people like the convinces of reddit and can create their own communities. Having a feed that includes all of your hobbies + an echo chamber for you’re political beliefs is far more appealing then a topic board.

It’s all a pointless debate anyways, TD will exist so long as it’s fiscally advantageous for reddit.
