As someone who has worked in a medical detox facility for quite a while, I agree with all your posts on this topic. Alcohol and Alcoholism is absolutely crippling society and public debate/outrage/reform talk on the topic is all but non-existent. Simply put, if you develop a dependence and you try to quit 'cold turkey', you'll die, actually die, probably within a few days. You would think this would be a focal point of national debate, maybe a big deal, but instead drinking's all seen as a bit of a laugh in our culture.. Bottle of Vino whilst cooking, etc. The hypocrisy and agenda-politics of the double standard and age-old misinformation regarding THC vs Alcohol makes me sick.
