This is a bad faith misattribution:
- Democrat representatives were never vocally in support of attacking Afghanistan civilians, so their electoral base could not have consciously voted in favor of doing so
- Whether America should have been in Afghanistan or not, the incident was a botched military operation with an investigation that followed including a public apology, the blame rests firmly on the military, the Pentagon, and the people in charge of implementation
- Afghanistan was invaded under a Republican president
