Black people weren't as openly and commonly discriminated against in previous generations as they are now. They're losing their station as equal parts of society, and it's not quite this simple but they are losing it because they're being used as scapegoats by far left politicians to seize power.

The general population has always been pitted against one another so that those in power have an easier time controlling the population. The right is importing votes through flyover states (Rednecks and their families vote right), and they're using the most convenient and useful scapegoat to unite their power base. Using scapegoats to unite the majority of the population against has worked wonders in the past, and it's working now.

Random violence increases because of this for a lot of reasons, one being the general rule that when you have military aged men who feel oppressed in a place, they lash out. There is (of course) a lot more to it than this, but this is what I remember from polisci back in the day.
