Like, I get it, prospect hoarding is lame as shit and Stu is a cheap ass owner. But it clearly works. I one hundred percent guarantee that when Patino becomes the number 1 pitching prospect in a year, and an all star pitcher shortly after, everyone will be sucking off the Rays FO about how they fleeced another team.

People on this sub are so reactionary and think they know more than FOs just because they looked at MLB pipeline rankings. The general consensus seems to be that the Rays got one good prospect, while the Cubs got a bunch of nobodies which couldn't be further from the truth. But if you mention it you get downvoted to hell by the hivemind.
