Tories made racist comments to me, claims ex-activist

I feel like there’s a media campaign being orchestrated by someone on the left somewhere to hit Tories on racism and islamophobia. The anti-semitism stories with Labour were a managed campaign in the press, and it was terribly damaging. So now it feels like some party spin doctor is trying to counterpunch with the same tactics.

As this is Reddit, I have to state that here this doesn’t mean that the stories are not true. And also have to state that I hate the Tories.

But the Conservative party has pretty much always been racist, and Labour does have an AS problem that it needs to root out. But that’s exactly why I’m sensing the whiff of a deliberately orchestrated media game here, stuff from years ago is all now getting published, one week at a time.

Any money says they start to ramp up and we get a menagerie of racist posts from the “Romford local conservatives” Facebook group, then a release of internal briefing paper where John Major’s home secretary describes Pakistanis as “foreign sympathisers” or something, then a photo of a current cabinet minister at a Halloween party in 2008 smiling next to a guy who went as a suicide bomber.

I don’t think I’m tin-foil hatting it here, politics have people who’s job it is to do this, and somebody’s decided to open the “Racism” drawer in their opposition research cabinet. I’m not even arguing against it, I’m just pointing out that it seems to be happening.
