Toronto police broke up 60-person Halloween party allegedly organized by anti-maskers

The places that don't follow the rules are just as big of a problem.

Ask anyone that works at an event facility of some type or anyone whos been to a wedding at one of them, the rules say masks on when not eating and no mixing between tables because they're separated for social distancing. The people I know who've been to weddings confirm the stories from employees that have been posted here, those rules last until people sit down at the table, masks come off, and then it turns into a normal party where everyone mixes and no one cares.

Sure most of these venues are large spaces which helps but I have a feeling there is way more chance of spread rubbing elbows and drinking with 50 friends and family than sitting at a table with your wife for a quiet dinner. I get event staff aren't stepping in because they're desperate and know they'll get push back for "ruining" the day but it's not fair that restaurants are forced by public pressure if nothing else to follow the rules while at a private event like a wedding of course no one that went says anything and that's it.
