Was the Torture Scene in Reservoir Dogs really that bad?

I’m 45 years old. I saw the movie in the theater. You have to understand what was shocking back then. The internet wasn’t really a thing. Seeing all the awful things we see in a day on the little screen you stare at all day didn’t happen. Your Mom or Dad never spent all their time in front of a screen that constantly shows them brutal graphic violence clips. I’m sure many in your age group have seen many clips of people being maimed or dying and are probably desensitized to it somewhat.

For someone like your Mom, even the thought of seeing that is horrifying. For you it’s a tiny square you scroll upwards to avoid seeing.

Don’t judge the old for being more broken by the way humans treat each other now.

Learn from your Momma dude.
