Tory MPs rip out NHS protections from trade bill

The Tories aren't trying to end free healthcare and turn us into America where only the rich can afford to see a doctor, even they haven't got PR doctors that could spin that one. What they're trying to do is get private companies to run the hospitals and then instead of the NHS money being used to run healthcare it would be used to pay the private companies to run the hospitals on their behalf. The argument is that private companies would be more efficient than the NHS because they are motivated by profit (if they do a bad job we can find a different company at the end of the contract), the counterargument is that if we give the contract to whoever says they can do it the cheapest then we'll probably end up with hospitals that are cutting corners to make the arrangement profitable for them (especially with a government like this one who frequently hires companies that deliver a subpar product).
