Toyota Chief Says ‘Silent Majority’ Has Doubts About Pursuing Only EVs

That sector chart really shows how important it is to get away from Coal and natural gas for heat and electricity production. Coal powered EV's are sometimes even worse for the planet than gas cars, compared to solar/wind/other green powered EV's that are dramatically better over their lifetime.

For sure, the 'from cradle to grave' paper on EV production and lifetime emissions highlighted this to great effect.

We really should stop being so afraid of nuclear energy. Waste storage is an issue that has several clear solutions. Especially with the new molten salt designs.

It'd provide baseload for an expanding grid with no emissions.

And how important it is for us to stop buying mountains of crap from china that we don't really need, because something that never gets made and never gets transported has zero carbon footprint.

I've definitely been thinking about that more, especially during this time of year. So many people buy stuff for the sake of buying with no clear objective in sight.
