Trans people pushing to get rid of Informed Consent piss me off

Look, I don't mean to sound harsh on you. I'm sorry if I come accross hard or have been rude.

It's important for me to tell you that informed consent saved my life.

Every step that involved mandatory therapy was an impassible barrier for me--whether it was financial, insurance issues, transphobia, sexism, bad science, bad faith, or beauracratic nonsense. In the end, I never needed therapy to "help" transition. I've used it to great success for other matters--it is a powerful tool. But as far as my identity and gender needs, forced therapy for medical access was always intrusive, counterintuitive, and created more problems, in fact was the only problem I faced in medically transitioning (all as an adult).

Again, youth and minors are a different matter in their needs, boundaries, and journeys.

I wish you well and I hope your path is kind.
