As a trans woman, I never thought I'd learn to love my curls - but here I am, enjoying my day two curls!

I point my transness out for the same reason I'd point out that I'm Middle Eastern - both these things reflect parts of me that are beyond my control but that the world around me identifies as being socially significant. I pass nowadays (even though I do occasionally get "read," which is totally okay with me), but this wasn't always the case, and my hair was both a reason I didn't pass in the beginning (it looked really "masculine"), and a reason I pass now, ironically. So my relationship with curls is tied in with my trans journey to a great extent.

I'm not really sure I see the connection between trans, crossfit, and veganism. I honestly wish my transition were as easy as picking up new hobbies or changing my diet, and did not involve things like being outcast by people I loved, or being attacked multiple times in public. Obviously you are free to think what you want, but the connection between trans/crossfit/veganism is actually more arbitrary than me talking about my CG journey in connection with my transition experience.
