Most shocking observations:
It’s a cycle in our club that we hear news that a player wants to leave our club, more recently Martial and Rashford. The fans start panicking. The board to appease the fans lay out lavish contracts for these players in order to retain them. There is no long term thinking at our club. Just knee jerk reactions. We need a revolutionary at the club who has a long term plan and who knows what he is doing. Barring Pogba and De Gea most of our players will just about make the bench at top clubs. Forget being in the starting line up. If they threaten to leave we should let them leave and see the reality of the world outside United. United can't be a breeding ground for spoilt brats or a retirement home for players past their prime.
I really like our 2 new signings however we are crying out loud for more like a proper right winger (Mata and Jesse ain’t gonna do it), out and out striker, CDM and CB. I hope Bruno Fernandez happens but still a lot of work to be done on the transfer front in the coming few windows. I have reservations about Ole in the long term but I am willing to give him time. City continues improving after signing Rodri, a direct replacement to Fernandinho. They have at least 2 top players in each position. Last year De Bruyne was injured and they didn’t even feel it. That’s what we are competing with. Sorry for the depressing post first thing in the morning.
