[Transfer Round Up & Discussion] [2019-08-01]

I'm not new to either sub, been here for years, just more as a part timer, still am just decided to read a bit more on here during the break.
Yeah I think it's better than /r/Soccer at least as an aggregation tool as generally only the reliable stuff is upvoted here. However when I go to /r/Soccer I know I'm reading stuff from eejits who generally know fuck all outside of the flair they have on um & you approach the situation like that.
However in here everyone is supporting the same team so you dive deeper when actually discussing the subject of United & because there is only so much of United to talk about it becomes a lot more about Football generally, tactics, nuances, the way the Football world functions, specifically United etc. & at that point the gap to people who actually know what the fuck they are talking about widens greatly. Once that happens the people who know very little resort to other things & that is where the shit show occurs & you get things like the ITK's etc.

Not saying it's absolutely terrible, this place is 100x better for actual discussion than Football twitter, at least here lads look at things with a broad glass, whereas on twitter even the huge United pages will post stuff as truth from completely unreliable sources. You can see it start to creep in here tho with general commentary, although the front page has remained consistently credible & a valuable tool for United fans.
