Transitioning from Shavette to Straight blade

c'mon now

a master violinist + demanding tool = beautiful music same tool, another administrator = awful noise

wood carving master + super sharp chisels and planes = great woodworking art

wood carving novice + same exact tools = awful result

the notion that "I (someone we don't know jack about as far as skill as an admin) couldn't shave better with my NOS Filarmonica 14 than my Chinese DE, so it wasn't 'shave ready'" shows just how wholly absurd it is to let people we know nothing of in regards to experience claim what is and is not, but as it is a subjective term, they're not really wrong per se. They just have a different subjective view than others, and if all the world but them agrees and they do not, they are still not wrong. That's how "subjective" works.
