Translating the tax relief promise into real action

You get your flight pay

And you got LDA (which I might add is MORE than aircrew allowance).

you get your travel allowances

There is no such thing. When we are on TD, we get the same per diems as everyone else to cover our expenses.

you get to travel the world

Plenty of people in the military get to travel the world.

bc you went to school, got a degree, went through the officer training, learned French (I'm assuming here), learned how to be a pilot on trainers, and finally learned to master your current aircraft (or multiple ones).

Yes, I spent almost a decade of education and training to get where I am...and you joined the army as a private. Both are vitally important jobs, but of course the one with more training and education is going to pay more. You have no right to sit there and berate me for making more money than you did; we do different jobs, each with their own challenges and responsibilities.

I really have no clue what your point is after reading all this. All I'm taking away from this is that you are bitter and think anybody who didn't have as rough a deployment as you doesn't deserve any benefits. I'm not trying to belittle your experiences or what happened to you, but you need to give your head a shake too. Not everybody that deploys gets fucked up, so I really have no respect for all your self-righteous crap. You seem to think that because I make decent money that I'm completely clueless about the rest of the military, or that somehow because an army private makes less than me that I no longer have any right at all to discuss pay or benefits...

Again, I'm not angry in the slightest. If my tone comes across as angry it's unintended.
