Transporting a nuke

I'm not going to say they actually would have shot him, actually I wouldn't have, and I don't think anyone in my unit would have. However, there was a very real and valid reason we had gun trucks. Our orders were nobody gets close to the equipment (again, trying to be vague). Because we were a HS unit, we typically worked in tandem with law enforcement. I can't say what went wrong in this particular incident because that was above my pay grade as a lowly E-4. My assumption is that he neglected to follow the avenues we openly provided to LE during our missions and instead decided to try to muscle his way in. Which was clearly a nonstarter for multiple reasons that I've listed earlier.
