Just enjoy your kayaking. I really wouldn't do both unless you specifically went out just to pick up trash voluntarily. The world is full of trash and landfills just collect it. I know it's bad for the waterways and people clearly shouldn't be doing it. We all know people don't do what they should though and no matter how much you pick up it will always keep appearing. We live on a backroads turnaround area really far out and I use to constantly pick up alcohol cans, food bags and even full dumped trash bags. It becomes a never ending job and it's like once they catch on to someone cleaning it up they double down because hey it'll get picked up anyway
