Is traveling for 10 years made possible by couchsurfing and crowdfunding being a mooch or frugal? r/travel discusses.

So... People do know that crowdfunding is entirely voluntary, right? If you don't care about someone living their life to the fullest experience, then move on with your own menial life and let people have their fun.

Now that I think about it, this is the same shit Youtubers/Twitch streamers got a few years ago because video editing apparently doesn't exist outside of the Internet, let alone doing something as insane as having a way to make money doing what you enjoy.

I certainly see the appeal of chipping in a little bit so you can see the world through a camera lens, while helping someone make the most of their one life. I mean, look at Patreon for Neptune's sake. There's clearly a market for people to help others with what they have and while it doesn't always work, it's certainly not "freeloading" or whatever and it's certainly not "fucking disgusting". That sort of flagrant selfish attitude might be, though.
