Corona virus will affect a lot of future travel and retirement. Even before this, countries seemed to be taking away the welcome mat, and now, this virus will cause many to re-examine the tourist influx. Thailand for example, used to be a major destination for a lot of people seeking a change of scenery. They shifted to marketing and welcoming Chinese and Indians versus western visitors, lately. But now, they've become very unfriendly as far as long term visas, and having to make frequent border runs is a pain in the ass and expensive as well. Few countries accept unlimited border runs anymore without a reset visit back to your home country, which is expensive. Few countries have long term visas and ideal conditions, like fast internet AND cheap living conditions, for example.
