Travelling to Singapore with a Canadian passport: potential issues?

I've heard quite a few over the years, and this is my first time travelling there so I'm being cautious before making plans. Some I've heard that immediately come to mind are:

  1. Guy visiting his gf in Singapore left Singapore to go to Malaysia and was then interrogated for several hours when returning to Singapore.
  2. British guy had a slightly bent passport and was denied entry.
  3. Someone who frequently flies between India and Singapore on a Canadian passport was interrogated on suspicion of smuggling drugs when he wasn't.
  4. Someone who's Bangladeshi but travelling on a Canadian passport was stopped and had to show extra documents before being let into Singapore when their white born-in-Canada wife was let in without trouble.

Apparently they're not as nice with non-white people too, which could be worrying for me since I'm not white. Since I'm also planning on re-entering Singapore after having entered once I was wondering if that could cause issues.
