Trevor Bedford on Twitter: Assessing Fitness of BA.4, BA.5, and BA.2.12.1

In practice this doesn't work great. If you have to take crowded public transport to work, even an N95 mask is not going to protect you indefinitely. Then there is the office space especially in people facing jobs which many work in. Added to that there appears to be a growing culture of shunning people who wear masks. If you were to start a new job in many companies tomorrow, sadly you would be let go for being unsociable and not part of the team for simply wearing a mask and wanting to keep a distance and avoid unnecessary meetings. At least that's what it's like with many people where I live.

So it forces you into a corner. Have no life or catch covid. It's ridiculous because there clearly should be far more a balance if people stop acting so offended by others wanting to protect themselves. It's nuts. Like all common sense and common courtesy has gone out the window.
