How big are the hills you’d be climbing? How strong are your knees? If the hills are small and you are young with strong joints, you should be okay. The bike is heavy but very stable. Very good breaks and good shifting. For flat rides, no complains at all. But if you want to climb, a lighter bike will make a huge difference. I did about 1100 miles on it. Got knee pains. Moved to a carbon bike recently. Knee pains gone!
Money is important but your joints are more important ;) Getting a cheap bike and busting your knees will not save you money in the long run. If you face hills, save up for a carbon frame. You will use it for years. I’m happy with Canyon. Can definitely recommend.
I like Triban on flat rides still: https://imgur.com/a/snzcEzY
