I’m boosted and just got Covid. It’s pretty mild with just a sore throat, fatigue, and headache compared to the Alpha variant but I still left work early today (I work from home) so that I could sleep some more. My friends in Denver are also boosted and got Covid last week and their symptoms were much crappier than mine. My friend in Florida who is vaccinated but not boosted just got Covid (I got it from him while visiting) and his symptoms were slightly worse than mine but nowhere near as bad as my friends in Denver. This variant is extremely transmissible and it might be a good idea to try and convince your boss to reschedule the party in a few months and call it something silly like the late late late holiday party or whatever.
