They tried to make me go to REEEhab ($4M->$8M)

A lot of people in the midwest. Especially smaller towns and poor people (the people that should be keeping/saving/investing their money the most). Some churches do a lot of good, but many are cash cows. It's basically a legal scam on uneducated and impoverished people. I went to church twice a week for about two decades. The asking for money never stops. As an adult I'd way rather look up charity ratings and public info then blindly give money away and not know what it's actually used for.

And on top of that the church doesn't even have to pay a cent of any sort of tax. Not even property tax. And to top it all off, they don't have to disclose where any of their money does get spent since they have so much extra, since they don't have to pay taxes. Costs include a lot of good things but also horrible ones such as lawyers fighting petaphilia cases and settlement money (over 3 Billion) among many other things.

Churches do a lot of great things and a lot of great people are involved in them, but the corruption and abuse in the system is very upsetting.
