Tried reading The Secret History by Donna Tartt and did not like it. Am I missing out?

I think it was a hit only with people who love Classics or who feel at home in that kind of environment . I loved it pretty much for those reasons . Or it resonated with people who are enamoured with the kind of college that basically allows a Dionysian cult to thrive in its confines . So if its not your cup of tea then i woud suggest passing on it . I would also recommend not reading If we were villains by ML Rio cause its pretty much the same except with actors and Shakespeare. However if what you wanted was a nice literary book about college then try Special Topics of Calamity Physics or The art of fielding . They are lot less snobbish while still being astoundingly well written.
