I have just noticed a trend in CCG communities that there tends to be a brigade of card apologists, who will go to great lengths to prevent anyone from telling them that a bad card is bad. Especially during preview season, it gets real bad.

Oh man, if only someone started an 'unpopular opinions' thread, this point should definitely be in it. I would agree with you tbh. I remember there was a soul-trap tier guide on here awhile back, and that thread wasn't very popular because there was always at least one person defending every each and every bad card.

While I understand some people are optimistic to the core, yet you can't deny that every card game has a group of cards that are meant to be very niche, or downright bad as 'filler'(I got downvoted once for saying Bog Lurcher was bad) and will rarely if ever see competitive play.

At the end of the day it's subjective to everyone I guess. I feel all the 'Spikes' will be more cynical in judging cards, whereas Johnnies and Timmies are probably more optimistic.
