I wasn't trying to be mean, ignorant, yes, but not mean. :)
I think sometimes we subconsciously mark our own trans experiences as the "true trans" experience and use it as a benchmark for comparing with others.
I am guilty of this and didn't comprehend what all this could mean for someone that went through what you did.
I knew i had biases, but, i was oblivious to the suffering that gals like you went through.
Thank you for saying that... I'm grateful i got such an upbringing, and have a great mom to this day, but i really wish my experience was more the standard.
No girl should feel ashamed about being who she is.
I wish you had the opportunity to come out at eight and be your true self.

I could goggle her, but, i don't really want to see something horrific.
Given her death had a traumatizing effect on you, i can only imagine how bad it is.
