Trouble with morality in/of film

Movies are a business. As such, their only moral responsibility is to make money legally for their creators. They may succeed or fail at that.

Movies are an entertainment. As such, they have no moral responsibility. They have only the responsibility to entertain. They may succeed or fail at that.

Ah, as for viewers: they have a responsibility, whether or not they watch movies. They should be good citizens: good to themselves, their families, their neighbors. And they too may succeed or fail at that.

Movies mirror society--otherwise, no one would watch them. A society wants to see itself--or at least aspects of itself--in its movies (literally depicted, symbolically transformed, etc.).

Society mirrors movies--otherwise, movies would be of no consequence and no one would be posting here.
