The troubling implications of losing residence/being deported for breaking quarantine

It's a bit like visiting a nightclub that says 'we will kick you out if you behave like a dickhead'. It isn't necessarily a crime to behave like a dickhead. However, they've got a 'no dickheads' policy that you agreed to as a condition of entry.

How about

various stories about Nishimura saying that foreign residents that break quarantine rules may have their residence status revoked and be deported.

you know the original topic. So your google may have been a jumping off point but adhering to that is just being obtuse. Then you drop knowledge that acting like a dickhead at places can get you kicked out of places...I think everyone understands that as is - no clue why you need a nightclub to illustrate that.

I don't see the OP's problem. If you breach your conditions of entry then of course they should be able to get rid of you!

I don't know this is one of the more wholesome threads I have seen on this sub. I think you might be reading a "problem" that isn't there. It was phrased less as a statement and more of an inquiry. Reading through the comments people are responding in kind...except for you... coming through with the mic drop.

However, they've got a 'no dickheads' policy that you agreed to as a condition of entry. Japan's the same - it's allowed to have its own house rules for visitors.

Japan thanks you for communicating its no dickheads policy and clarifying that it is allowed to have its own house rules for visitors. I am sure Japan and everyone was starting to worry that people were beginning to think Japan is not allowed to have any house rules...Japan is the same you say? Like I have if I don't know you you cannot enter my home rule. Barring that - don't smoke inside, if you use a dish wash that shit. My house rules, Japan is allowed to do that too?
