Trump blasts ex-aide Bannon, says he has lost his mind

What a shit-show. :-(

Unfortunately, should Trump be removed (or simply not run for a second term/get voted out) I think it will be without the blessing of anyone learning anything from the whole mess. Neither mainstream Republicans nor Democrats will take to heart that Trump's election was in any way shape or form a referendum on their own ineptitude and corruption. Whether it was preferring to pull the trigger on behalf of an obvious con-man rather than have another Bush or Clinton in office, or simply "dropping out" altogether and staying home - a substantial part of the U.S. public swings between desperation and demoralization these days, and that showed in the last presidential election.

Trump may get the boot one way or another, it remains to be seen. But that discontent is going to not only remain, but it will have grown far deeper.
