Trump ex-Campaign Chair Manafort sues Mueller, Rosenstein, and Department of Justice

IAAL (this is not legal advice)

I read the complaint (styled as a dec action). Honestly, this has legs.

My guess though is it is a wedge action to try to see how the instant indictments relate to the Russia investigation so the Defense can prepare. It's also a signal Manafort won't flip, or might be cover for him doing so. This type of action is essentially a last ditch effrot to get the case back to DOJ who can then decide not to indict again or let it slip away with time. If he loses this type of action I would expect him to accept a plea. (Just a hunch)

And, it's also interesting because Gates isn't participating (unless I missed something).

The news anchors are wrong, this is an allowable type of action during the pendency of a criminal case.

Any people out there know which judge got this and his/her leanings?
