Trump has a history of making claims without evidence

The thing is, the best proof against basically every major conspiracy theory is that Donald Trump actually got elected.

So many of them assume belief in some kind of worldwide shadow government run by [insert scary group here] and, even by tinfoil hat logic, none of them had anything to gain by electing Donald Trump. So people like Alex Jones have to suppose that despite the impossibly wide reach and systematic power of the shadow government (of whom Clinton would obviously have been the favored candidate), they couldn't rig this one election? Really? They're not very impressive shadow government overlords then, are they?

This is one of my very favorite quotes that seems more true all the time:

The main thing that I learned about conspiracy theory, is that conspiracy theorists believe in a conspiracy because that is more comforting. The truth of the world is that it is actually chaotic. The truth is that it is not The Iluminati, or The Jewish Banking Conspiracy, or the Gray Alien Theory.

The truth is far more frightening - Nobody is in control.

The world is rudderless.
