Of course I don't think that. I'm not trying to insert an American bias, as I lived in Europe for ten years, and my entire family is from Europe. I'm stating that using inaccurate stats to make a claim isn't a reliable way to go about it.

If you really want to discuss this, I'd recommend you take a look at where the crime rates are sky high in America. Your outlook on comparing other countries to America as an entire country might change, and personally I think it's pointless to compare other countries to America as a whole. Most crime is concentrated in certain areas mainly, and America is a large multicultural country. Most European countries with great stats are small homogenous countries.
